120608 Barnes and Noble Flyer
Support PS 39 and buy at BN with the flyer at the end of the page:
Dear Friends and Families of P.S.39,
I am pleased to announce that P.S. 39 has continued the tradition of book fairs with Barnes & Noble. This year Barnes & Noble will host a book fair at Barnes & Noble at 267 Seventh Avenue (the corner of 7th Avenue and 6th Street) in Park Slope, Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 9am to 10 pm.
Attached please find a flyer with a voucher. We encourage you to duplicate the voucher and send them to your friends and relatives. Bring the voucher to the register when purchasing your items and a percentage of the net sale will be donated to our school. Additional vouchers are also available at the school.
This is the opportunity to stock up on your holiday purchases. Barnes & Noble has books, toys, games, gift items, home and office products, Godiva chocolates, CDs, DVDS, and more.
We are also pleased to announce that our children’s artwork will also be on display at the store (near the children’s section) during the day. Ms. Chavy Broyde, our Visual Arts teacher, has worked diligently with our students to create masterpieces.
Our fifth grade seniors will also be at the store, from 9am to 5pm, to wrap any items purchased, free of charge. We encourage you to give them tips, however, as this money will be used to help defray the cost of their senior trip.
We are also asking our teachers to provide a wish list for books in their classrooms. These wish lists will be available on our website by the date of the book fair (http://schools.nyc.gov/SchoolPortals/15/K039/default.htm) and at the store.
The Barnes & Noble book fair is important to the school because it raises funds needed to support activities not covered by the school budget. We are still seeking volunteers. If you can help, please contact Elaine Kleinberg at 917-562-7973 or ekleinberg@earthlink.net.
If you should have any questions concerning the book fair, please contact Donna Baker at the school, extension 220.
Sincerely,
Anita de Paz, Principal
