Halloween Spooktaclular on October 30th 6-9p John Jay High School

This year's Halloween Spooktacular will be on Friday, October 30th, at John Jay High School, from 6-9 pm. We are trying something new and exciting this year!

We will be having a Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser.

Sponsor sheets will soon be sent out to your children. The dance party is only 3 hours long.
Have your children ask friends and family to sponsor them (per hour, per minute, and if your child is very persuasive even per second), as they dance the night away.

There will be prizes awarded for the top earners.
There will also be many great activities:
* The Grand Costume Parade
* Costume Contest (categories - Most Original, Scariest, Best Character, Best Family) - We would like everyone to dress up in their most creative costumes!
* Dance Contest
* Raffle Baskets - There will be great themed raffle baskets this year to bid on. Each grade will be assigned a theme to donate towards. Your children should be receiving a flier with more information by the end of this week.
* Bake Sale - Please bake something yummy for the bake sale (bake sale is after 6pm - not on school grounds - with the new laws regarding bake sales, we should be ok -)

There are many great volunteer opportunities to help make this event great:
1. We need a crew of parents to help decorate John Jay from 4-6 pm on Friday, Oct 30th.
2. We need volunteers to help out at both the raffle and bake sale tables.
3. We need a Grand Master/Mistress of the Costume Parade. He/She will lead the little goblins and witches around the room in front of our costume judges.
4. We need people to bake for the bake sale.
5. We need a few judges for both the dance and costume contest.
6. We need volunteers to help clean up afterwards from 9-10pm.
Please e-mail me: agalesi@hotmail. com if you would like to volunteer for this fun event!
