Our goal is to raise $125,000 to help support smaller class sizes,as well as school enrichments, such as teaching assistants, recess coaches, the NY Philharmonic partnership, theater visits, swim instruction, and much more. You can make your donation online HERE (where you can also schedule a monthly donation), or send a check made out to "PS 39 Parent Association" in your child's folder. Your gift is tax-deductible. We hope you'll be as generous as you canin support of our very special little school. P.S. 39, the Henry Bristow School, is participating in the ‘Kids helping Kids’ UNICEF* campaign this year as part of our goal to help our students know they have power to make a difference in the world and be a power for good.
We ask those students who would like to participate to collect coins in the special UNICEF boxes and return them to school after Halloween. They may collect the donations while trick-or-treating, by asking friends and family, or by doing special tasks to earn money. We know you’ll make sure they do this in a wise and safe way. UNICEFusa.org/stories has many wonderful videos to help kids see where children need help and how UNICEF is helping. It’s very important that they understand the good they’ll do. The money collected this year will mainly go to help those suffering from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and from the earthquake in Mexico. Many children need temporary shelter, clean water, food, and schools. Boxes should be returned to the classroom by November 8th. The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is excited to launch its monthly newsletter to keep you informed about our work throughout the year. Click here to read our first issue! For more information about this committee or to get involved, please visit our Diversity & Inclusion page.

Come in your costume and enjoy music, games, crafts, food, a haunted house and enter in the spooktacular raffle for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! The money raised from the Spooktacular goes to support the Parent Association and helps to fund enrichment programs and additional teacher/staff support in our classrooms. In order for the event to be a success, we need parent volunteers to help on the day - whether its helping to set up the haunted house or clean, sell food, work at the craft tables, etc. We cannot do this without your support!
