The Parent Association of PS 39

The purpose of the PS 39 Parent Association (PA) is to support our school by creating an environment that supports learning, diversity, community and family.

As a parent or guardian of a PS 39 student, you are a member of the Parent Association (PA), which plays a vital role in the school community. We bring together teachers, staff, parents, and children for events, fundraisers, and supporting enrichment programs, supplies, and teacher training. Your involvement, whether through volunteering or leading a committee, is essential! Our activities focus on:

  • Building parent leadership and involvement

  • Encouraging participation at all levels

  • Fostering cooperation between parents and staff

  • Supporting school governance and decision-making

  • Providing resources for student growth

Join Us for Our Next Meeting

Monthly General Members meetings provide families the chance to come together and socialize, hear Board, School and District updates, and discuss issues and address concerns. Our meetings provide the opportunity to discuss new initiatives which help guide the future goals of our community as a whole.

General members are encouraged to submit agenda items for meetings by emailing presidents@ps39.org with any topics you'd like to address. While we understand that many families can’t attend in person, you can still participate by joining the meeting via Zoom. Links will be provided through ParentSquare posts. Your voice matters, and we want to hear from you!
