NYCPS Save for College Program
The NYCPS Save for College Program is a citywide initiative helping families save for their children’s higher education through accessible 529 college savings accounts, with financial contributions from the city and community partners to kick-start and grow savings. Program eligibility has been expanded to all Kindergarten students enrolled starting school year 2021-2022.
Respect for All DOE Guidebook
The NYCDOE Respect for All program was launched in 2007 to build the capacity of staff and students to actively promote a community of inclusion in each of our schools. The importance of promoting respect for diversity in our daily practice is vital to creating and sustaining an inclusive school climate and culture in each of our schools so that all students feel valued, supported and safe.
DOE Health and Wellness Guide
Learn more about NYC DOE Health and Wellness programs, policies and procedures. From Head Lice policy, to School Vision testing program, to vaccination requirements to Covid19 / flu preventative measures.
Student OMNY Cards
DOE is evolving with technology and providing our students with OMNY tap-to-go passes for subway and city buses. Schools will distribute OMNY cards this Fall 2024. This will allow eligible students to get to and from school and school-related activities for free—and ride for free on weekends and all year, too!
Emergency Readiness & Notify NYC
DOE recommend you register with Notify NYC to receive information about emergency events. It is also important that you create a NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) to receive “real-time” emergency notification from school emergencies. You can call 311 for additional information about a school during an emergency.
