Late Arrival
If you’re late to morning arrival, please escort your child through the main entrance and sign them in on the iPad near the safety agent. We understand that mornings can be challenging, but if your child is late five times (arriving after morning meeting), we may reach out to discuss support. Attendance records are updated daily and can be viewed in your child’s NYC Schools Account (NYCSA).
If you’re running late for pick-up, call the main office (718-330-9310, x1002) to tell us when you will arrive. After dismissal, children who remain will wait on the front stoop or inside (depending on weather) until picked up.

Attendance Policy
If your child is absent, message Attendance Team and classroom teachers on ParentSquare. For absences of three or more consecutive days, provide a doctor’s note.
Schedule doctor and dental appointments after school hours to minimize disruptions.
For extended absences due to travel, notify your child’s teacher in advance with the reason. Teachers will support your child’s progress upon return.
Excessive unexcused absences may result in meetings with the principal or home visits by the attendance team.
Providing verbal or written confirmation with a reason for your child’s absence to the Attendance Team allows it to be coded as excused. Without confirmation, the absence will be marked unexcused. All absences, excused or unexcused, remain on your child’s record and cannot be removed.
While attendance does not affect report card grades, regular attendance is vital for your child’s success.
